Kevin Durant and James Harden, both representing their Nike summer league teams, sat down with Grantland.com founder and columnist Bill Simmons and a baseball bat-wielding Jalen Rose to discuss The Trade.

Harden still seems as genuinely shocked as he was when the trade happened last summer.

"It was definitely weird especially that entire season just being by myself," Harden said. "Coming from basically a brotherhood, being alongside them every single day and then, basically, being by my lonesome in a new city, new team, new organization. I kind of had to feel my way in."

Durant called Harden "the best guard in the league," and expressed his geniality toward Harden‘s success in Houston, while admitting he enjoys competing against his former teammate.

"It was difficult. You know, me and James became close ever since he was drafted," Durant said. "For it to happen so quickly, it was a change for all of us. Not just for our team but for the fans in Oklahoma City. People would walk down the street and they would feel so upset that James was gone, but you could tell how close we were as a team and that's how close our city was to our team."

Simmons compared the split to a divorce where Durant was the "parent" that kept "custody" of Russell Westbrook.
