Tulsa Police Gang Unit officers went to an East Tulsa home to serve a search warrant for drugs and made an arrest for chicken fighting.

When police arrived at the 3300 block of South 143rd East Avenue Friday afternoon, they found a marijuana plant in the backyard and some firearms. Police say one of the residents, 23-year-old Chee M. Xiong, admitted he staged chicken fights in the garage.

"Evidence of chicken fights included chickens, dead chickens, a fighting pit spattered with blood and blood on the garage floor," an officer said in his arrest report.

The officer also noted that children under the age of 10 were present at the house.

Xiong was booked into Tulsa County Jail on three felony complaints: cultivation of marijuana in the presence of a minor, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and animal cruelty.

He remained in jail Saturday in lieu of $19,000 bond.
