Multi-Car Crash On Tulsa's I-44 At Highway 75 Backs Up Traffic

A multi-car crash on I-44 near Highway 75 stopped westbound interstate highway traffic for a time early Monday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was diverting westbound traffic to a service road, but re-opened the highway about an hour after the 6 a.m. crash.

Troopers said a car had exited Highway 75 onto I-44 when the driver lost control and rolled her car into the westbound lanes.

The OHP said westbound I-44 drivers suddenly slowed except for the driver of a black Jeep which rear-ended one car. That crash caused several other cars to make sudden stops.

EMSA treated the driver of the rolled car for minor injuries.

The crash backed up westbound traffic for several miles.
