Sand Springs Man Leads Police On Chase With Kids In Car, Police Say

A Sand Springs man is behind bars accused of driving drunk and evading police with children in his car.

Police arrested Cody James Austin, 21, around 3 a.m. Sunday after they say he led them on a chase.

During that chase, police saw a young child peering out the rear window.

Austin eventually stopped and turned himself in.

He is facing two counts of child endangerment, DWI, eluding and child restraint violations. He also owes court costs in multiple previous cases.
