Fort Smith Police Say 2 Suspected Bank Robbers Have Ties To Oklahoma

Police said Brandon Knauls, 20, and Jeremiah Franklin, 19, are wanted for the robbery of First National Bank on Midland Avenue in Fort Smith.

Fort Smith police say two men suspected of robbing a bank at gunpoint Monday have been identified and both have ties to Oklahoma.

Police said Brandon Knauls, 20, and Jeremiah Franklin, 19, are wanted for the robbery at the First National Bank on Midland Avenue in Fort Smith.

Witnesses told police one of the men had what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.  Both walked into the bank, confronted bank tellers and demanded money said Patricia Sullivan, Fort Smith Police Department.

Both are considered armed and dangerous.

Police say Knauls has associates in Oklahoma City and Franklin is connected to the Tulsa area.
