Police Arrest Suspect Who Shot At Officer In NW OKC

Police are looking for a man who shot at an officer in northwest Oklahoma City early Saturday morning.

Police have arrested a man who shot at an officer in northwest Oklahoma City early Saturday morning.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. in the area of N.W. 92nd and Harvey. Police say an officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding, and then a man took off on foot.

Once the officer caught up with the suspect, the two got into a scuffle, and the man grabbed the officer's gun and fired at him.

The officer was not hit, but received minor injury during the altercation.

The suspect was found hiding in a vacant home in the 300 block of N.W. 87th. Officers took the suspect into custody at about 8 a.m. Saturday. No shots were fired by police.

The suspect sustained injury breaking into the vacant home, according to police. 

Both the suspect and the officer were treated by EMSA. Police have not released the suspect's name.
