Alcohol Possible Factor In Crash That Sent 3 Bristow Teens To Hospital

The driver, Kyle Hopkins, 22, of Bristow, was not injured. According to OHP report, Hopkins was impaired by alcohol at the time of the crash.

Three Bristow women were transported to the hospital after the pickup they were riding in rolled over early Saturday.

The crash happened about 2 a.m. near 321st Street and 433rd West Avenue in Creek County.

The driver, Kyle Hopkins, 22, of Bristow, failed to make a curve, left the roadway to the left, and the truck rolled one time, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's collision report.

Hopkins had five passengers in his 2001 Dodge Ram – Shana Williams, 18, of Bristow; Sarah Edwards, 18, of Bristow; Kaleigh Hopkins, 19, of Bristow; Austin Olinger, 18, of Wewoka; and Jeffrey Coffet, 18, of Wewoka.

Williams, Edwards and Kaleigh Hopkins were taken to a Tulsa hospital with internal injuries and are said to be stable.

Neither Olinger nor Coffet were injured.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the driver, Kyle Hopkins, was impaired by alcohol at the time of the crash, which is under investigation. He was not injured.

None of the vehicle's occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, the investigating trooper said in his report.
