Despite collecting 17 hits and a multi-homer game from George Springer, the Redhawks fell, 11-8 against Round Rock on Tuesday night.

Springer's first, a two-run bomb, capped a three-run first inning for the Redhawks (49-42). They'd get another run in the second on a botched pickoff attempt by Round Rock starter Evan Meek but then the Express (52-41) really got rolling.

Redhawk lefty Wade LeBlanc gave up a three-run homer to Jim Adduci in the bottom of the second and then a two-RBI dinger to Manny Ramirez, yes that Manny Ramirez, in the third. Things didn't get any better for LeBlanc as he gave up four more runs before being pulled after just 3.1 innings.

The Redhawks' bats remained hot but struggled with runners in scoring position, going just 2-for-15. They had a chance down three in the eighth with two men aboard but Brandon Laird lined into a double play. The Redhawks never recovered and would go down in order in the ninth.

Springer stood out for OKC, going 4-for-5 with five RBI and was just a double shy of hitting for the cycle. It was the center fielder's second multi-homer game in the past three contests.

The Redhawks and Express will play the rubber match of their three-game series Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m.
