Jackson Erupts As OKC Comes Back To Beat Detroit

ORLANDO, Florida -

There were questions about Reggie Jackson's availability on Tuesday after sustaining a severe cut above his left eye in Monday's victory against the Magic.

Not only did Jackson play against the Pistons, he also managed to break an Orlando Summer League record with 35 points in the process.

The explosive Thunder guard entered the fourth quarter with 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting, as Oklahoma City trailed Detroit by 11 in Summer League action. Then Jackson went off.

He scored 23 in the final quarter, including 18 consecutive points, and hit his final seven shots to propel OKC to a come-from-behind 79-75 victory.

The former Boston College standout gave the Thunder the lead for good on a dunk through the lane with 1:48 remaining and sealed the victory with four free throws down the stretch.

Jackson was the obvious star of the game for the Thunder but he wasn't the only bright spot.

Newcomers Dwight Buycks and Steven Adams played key roles in the victory. Buycks scored 13 points off the bench and hit a 3-pointer with 32 seconds left to help preserve the win. OKC also got solid minutes from Adams at the center position, who finished with 11 points and six rebounds in 31 minutes.

Adams also helped the Thunder dominate the offensive glass with a 15-7 edge on the boards.

Detroit was led by first-round pick Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's 19 points and center Andre Drummond contributed 12 points and 11 boards.

OKC will be back in action on Wednesday when it faces the Brooklyn Nets at 10 a.m. (CST) in Orlando.
