OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are searching for a killer who broke into an elderly woman's northwest Oklahoma City home and attacked her.

Just before 9 a.m. Friday, July 5, police received a 911 call from 94-year-old Evelyn Goodall at her home in the 3500 block of N.W. 20th Street. When an officer arrived, he found Goodall lying just inside the front door of her home. In the police report, the officer said she was "completely covered in blood from her head to her feet."

Goodall was able to tell the officer that she had just finished breakfast around 6:30 a.m. when a man walked through her back door. She said he grabbed her, threw her to the ground and hit her numerous times.

Police say the man then robbed her house and left. Goodall told the officer she was able to crawl to her phone and dial 911. She was rushed to Baptist Hospital for treatment. She died Sunday night from her injuries.

Police have not released a detailed description of the possible suspect. They only say he's a thin, white male.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Goodall's death is the 39th homicide in Oklahoma City this year.
