Just in time for Independence Day, American history flies into Tulsa.

The B-17G bomber "Aluminum Overcast" has been fully restored from its World War II days.

It's on display right now at the Jones-Riverside Airport. For a fee, you can also hop on board for a flight. Ground tours are free for veterans.

Even if you're not a history buff, the plane really brings home the power and sacrifice of war.

Vintage planes like this come to Tulsa every year, but only for a short time. Monday is the last day to see the B-17 at Jones Riverside Airport.
