Grady County Murder Victim Identified

The Grady County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a woman who was killed Thursday at a home near Amber.

Deputies say Sara Maisano, 24, was shot to death by Steven Thompson. Deputies believe Thompson killed Maisano, and severely beat his fiancé. Maisano and the fiancé were friends. The second woman is expected to survive.

About 12 hours after the murder, Thompson called 911 and surrendered to authorities.

Deputies aren't giving a motive for the murder, but they do say domestic violence was involved.
