The Oklahoma City RedHawks split a Tuesday doubleheader with the Omaha Storm Chasers at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Omaha (35-44) won the first game, 2-0, and the RedHawks (41-37) came back to win the second game, 5-4, in front of a crowd of 3,903 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The teams played their second doubleheader in three days and concluded a six-game series, which they split, 3-3, in downtown Oklahoma City.

Omaha won the first game of the doubleheader, 2-0, holding the RedHawks to a season-low two hits.

The Storm Chasers took a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning on a two-out RBI single from Xavier Nady that scored Johnny Giavotella. Chad Tracy later hit a solo home run on a line drive to left field in the top of the seventh inning to put the Storm Chasers ahead, 2-0.

Oklahoma City led off the bottom of the seventh inning by drawing two walks. A sacrifice bunt from Ruben Sosa advanced the runners, but Robbie Grossman flew out to right field for the second out of the frame and Jonathan Villar struck out swinging to end the game.

RedHawks starting pitcher Jarred Cosart (7-4) threw the second complete game of his career. He allowed five hits in the first inning, then retired 19 of the final 21 hitters he faced. Cosart allowed two runs on six hits, walked one and struck out four in the seven-inning loss.

Omaha starter Danny Duffy (1-0) pitched five scoreless innings, allowing two hits, walking one and striking out four.

The RedHawks took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning of the second game. Villar tripled on a line drive to center field and scored on a double from Jimmy Paredes. Brandon Laird then hit a third-straight extra-base hit for the RedHawks – a double that scored Paredes. Jose Martinez grounded out to first base, allowing Jonathan Singleton to score for a three-run edge in the inning.

Oklahoma City went ahead, 4-0, in the second inning when Villar grounded into a double play with the bases loaded and Cody Clark scored.

Christian Colon cut Oklahoma City's lead to one run with a three-run homer to left field with two outs in the fifth inning. The RedHawks quickly answered with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning for a 5-3 lead.

A RBI single by Colon in the sixth brought the Storm Chasers within one run, 5-4, with two outs and Omaha threatened in the top of the seventh before a RedHawks double play ended the game. Storm Chaser Max Ramirez popped into a double play in shallow right field. Second baseman Sosa made the catch, then turned and threw to Villar at second to seal the win with the final two outs.

Bobby Doran made his Triple-A pitching debut, starting game two for Oklahoma City. He threw 4.2 innings, allowing three runs on Colon's home run, and six hits. Alex Sogard (2-0) got the win for the RedHawks and Josh Zeid picked up his sixth save of the season.

Villar had two hits for the RedHawks in the second game and Martinez notched two RBI.

Colon led Omaha with a game-high three hits and four RBI. Maikel Cleto (2-4) got the loss on the mound for Omaha, allowing four runs on six hits and walking five in 4.0 innings.

The RedHawks have an off day Wednesday before traveling to play five games in Nashville starting at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
