Sports business analyst Darren Rovell discussed Kevin Durant's move to Roc Nation Sports on the Mike and Mike show Tuesday morning on ESPN Radio.

Durant's partnership with hip-hop mogul and New York native Jay-Z has many people feeling like it's only a matter of time until Durant leaves town, but Rovell says otherwise.

"The idea that Kevin Durant goes somewhere else to be more marketable – I don't think that's the case," Rovell told Mike and Mike.

Rovell elaborated, explaining that Durant's best marketing strategy isn't necessarily to play in the city with the most buildings, but rather the city with the best talent, like OKC.

"The key for him is to win. Jay-Z's job is to get him to a place that will win, otherwise, I don't see that a new market can make him much more valuable."

However, Rovell did mention that as long as Durant stays in Oklahoma City, it may be tough to attract other free agents.

"That's definitely more of a challenge," Rovell said. "San Antonio and Oklahoma City – they're the two smallest markets in the NBA. It's certainly not New York City, Chicago or Los Angeles, and there is that want to be in a big, hot city. So I think it is a bit more challenging."

Rovell's message was simple: just win, baby.

"All else being equal (from a marketing perspective), you'd rather win a title than be in a big city."
