Speculation has swirled around what the Thunder plans to do with its three picks in Thursday's NBA Draft.

Oklahoma City is limited in its options financially and many believe the organization will only be able to retain one rookie from the draft, giving OKC options to trade up or out of the draft entirely. But Monday night ESPN's Chad Ford released a report that could get Thunder fans fired up.

Ford reported that Oklahoma City has been proactive in its efforts to acquire the No. 1 overall selection from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Ford went on to say that Cleveland is unsettled on its options at No. 1 in what is widely considered to be a weak draft class. What this class does offer, however, is a few quality big men, namely Kentucky's Nerlens Noel and Maryland's Alex Len.

Ford is reporting that the Thunder, as well as, Minnesota and Portland have been in talks with the Cavs but have yet to persuade Cleveland into giving up the top spot.

Oklahoma City may be limited with salary cap room but Presti and Co. do own the rights to the Nos. 12 and 29 picks in the first round and the No. 2 selection in round two, along with young talent that could be included in a trade.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
