Posted: Updated:

The Omaha Storm Chasers defeated the Oklahoma City RedHawks, 3-2, Monday to knot the series between the teams, 2-2, in front of a crowd of 3,672 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Monday marked the third-straight one-run game between the teams in downtown Oklahoma City.

Omaha (34-43) entered the sixth inning trailing the RedHawks, 2-1, before scoring the eventual winning runs in the top of the sixth.

Johnny Giavotella and Max Ramirez each had two hits for the Storm Chasers. Brett Wallace and Jake Elmore each went 2-for-4 for the RedHawks (40-36) and Jimmy Paredes had two RBI.

Irving Falu led off the game with a triple for the Storm Chasers and gave Omaha a 1-0 lead when he scored on a Christian Colon single in the top of the first inning.

A two-run homer from Paredes in the third put the RedHawks in front, 2-1, with one out.

Omaha scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a 3-2 lead. Chase Lambin grounded into a force out and Ramirez scored. Anthony Seratelli scored on a throwing error by Jonathan Villar.

RedHawks relief pitcher Jose Valdez retired all three batters he faced in the top of the ninth. In the bottom of the frame, Jonathan Singleton led off with a single to right field. A sacrifice bunt by Robbie Grossman advanced pinch runner Jose Martinez to second base. Carlos Perez popped out to first base and Che-Hsuan Lin lined out to center field to end the game for the RedHawks.

RedHawks starting pitcher Philip Humber (0-3) took the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits in seven innings pitched. Omaha starter Everett Teaford (3-2) allowed two runs on six hits in the win.

Oklahoma City's six-game homestand against Omaha concludes with a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
