State health officials say there are still an unknown number of patients of a Tulsa oral surgeon at the center of a public health scare who have yet to be tested for diseases after his two clinics in Tulsa and Owasso were found to be unsanitary.

Officials say it will likely take months to complete the investigation of Dr. W. Scott Harrington. They also say next Friday, June 28, 2013 is the final day patients can receive free testing.

So far, 74 of Harrington's patients have tested positive for hepatitis C, five for hepatitis B and three for HIV -- although there is no indication the diseases were spread at his clinics. Health experts have cautioned that the spread of disease in dental clinics is extremely rare.

Harrington is cooperating with the investigation.
