Three people accused of snatching signs from the side of the highway were arrested Monday in Oklahoma City when an Oklahoma Department of Transportation worker spotted them and called police.

The ODOT employee was on Interstate 44 near S.W. 89th Street around 3 p.m. when he saw three people in a small, white four-door car take apart a blue state road sign and strap it to the roof of the car.

A police officer quickly caught up to the suspects and found two highway signs strapped to the top of the small car. According to the ODOT worker, the signs were worth between $500 and $800 each.

Police arrested Brian Goeders, 53, Chad Goeders, 33, and Stacey King, 35, on complaints of grand larceny.
