Another driver followed a man accused of slamming into a motorcyclist at N.W. 39th and Tulsa in Oklahoma City, and driving away before police arrived.

Witnesses told police 28-year-old Jesse Haynes swerved his Chevy Suburban into an outside lane, hitting a motorcycle. The rider crashed into the side of the street, sustaining minor injuries.

Haynes did not stop at the scene. He kept driving, and another driver followed him while friends of the victim called police. Haynes actually circled back to the scene but didn't stop his vehicle until a police officer pulled him over.

The officer noticed Haynes smelled of an alcoholic beverage, and slurred his speech. When police searched Haynes' vehicle, they found two marijuana cigarettes in his ashtray and trace amounts of marijuana on the driver's seat.

Police arrested Haynes for possession of a controlled, dangerous substance, driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an injuring accident, and driving with a suspended license.

The motorcyclist was examined by paramedics but refused to go to the hospital.
