Oklahoma City Police have released surveillance photos of a man accused of attacking an employee at a Family Dollar store after the worker tried to confront a shoplifter.

Police say a man and woman walked into the store at N.W. 23rd Street and Harvey on May 25. The worker told police he saw the woman shoplifting. As the woman and her companion tried to leave, the employee confronted them and asked them to step back into the store.

The suspect pushed the worker several times then punched him in the face, leaving the employee's nose bloody and possibly broken.

The man and woman then ran out of the store and jumped into an orange Dodge Charger. The suspect who assaulted the worker is a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing dark jeans and a light blue shirt.

Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call the Oklahoma City Police Department.
