OKLAHOMA CITY -

Part of the metro has been hit with a deluge of rain, but right now the city is still telling people to conserve water.

Flyers started arriving in the mail this week, reminding people of "odd-even" lawn watering rules. Despite the recent rain and lake levels, city officials tell News 9 they have no plans to change restrictions.

The city may be more flexible with boating restrictions. In March, the city chose to not renew annual boat slip membership because it was so dry.

The move could cost the city tens of thousands because the 500 boat slips can run anywhere from $400 to $700 apiece to rent for a year. Now Lake Hefner is overflowing. The sea wall at the OKC boat club is underwater for the first time ever.

"I've never see it that high," says Kelly Coal, who teaches sailing summer camps at the OKC Boat Club.

OKC Boat Club members hope the city will reconsider the boat slip restriction because the water level is so high.

"Even if the weather does shut off, it should get us through the sailing season," says OKC Boat Club member Steve Fraser about recent rain amounts.

City officials tell News 9, the idea of changing the boating restrictions hasn't been addressed since all the rain, but could be soon.
