Inauguration Date Set For ORU's New President

The inauguration of Oral Roberts University's fourth president will take place on September 20, 2013 at the Mabee Center on the Tulsa school's campus.

ORU's board of trustees set the date during a meeting this week.

Dr. William Wilson appeared Monday on News On 6's Six in the Morning program.

He served on the ORU Board of Trustees as vice-chair until his election as president in January.

The school said Dr. Wilson was selected as the result of a nine-month search process led by the ORU Presidential Search Committee made up of representatives from the ORU Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, alumni and students.

A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Dr. William Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University in Secondary Education. He also holds a Master of Arts degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary.
