Gov. Mary Fallin visited Canadian County Sunday morning to tour the damage left from Friday night's deadly tornado.

Fallin thanked first responders as she was led through the heavily damaged Canadian Valley Technology Center's El Reno campus.

The tornado tore through Central Oklahoma Friday night killing at least ten people. The storm also hit the already devastated city of Moore.

"It's been a miserable two weeks," said Fallin during a news briefing Sunday morning. "We'll make it to a better day."

Fallin said the state emergency declaration as well as the FEMA declaration that was activated following the deadly tornadoes from May 19 and 20 will cover this latest tragedy.

FEMA will be out Monday to assess both tornado and flooding damage.

Fallin said neighbors are coming together to help neighbors.

"Once again, we've seen that resilient Oklahoma strong spirit rise up again. It's been hard to handle this magnitude of disaster throughout the state, but we'll recover. We've just seen people spring to action just like they did a couple of weeks ago in Moore," Gov. Fallin said.

Fallin says President Obama called to pledge his support and offer federal assistance to help residents.
