The violent tornadoes that roared through Oklahoma over a three day period sadly resulted in the loss of lives, property and impacted mail service in the delivery areas of Carney, Luther, Shawnee, Newcastle, and Oklahoma City Moore and Santa Fe Stations.

The Moore OK Post Office Branch, servicing ZIP Codes 73153 and 73160 sustained heavy damage and has temporarily relocated operations. The letter carriers are temporarily housed at the Airport Finance Unit located at 6500 Air Cargo Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73195.

The Santa Fe Station located at 201 SW 134th servicing ZIP Code 73170 is in the process of resuming normal operations.

Beginning Thursday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m.: Letter carriers for both Santa Fe and Moore Stations will attempt delivery where possible.

Customers that cannot receive mail at their residence in the impacted ZIP Codes of 73153 and 73160 may pick their mail up from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Airport Finance Unit (AFU)

Customers in ZIP Code 73170 can pick up mail from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Santa Fe Station

Customers are required to provide their delivery address and a valid photo ID in order to pick up their mail. Nearby retail services are available at the Oklahoma City Penn 89 Station located at 9201 South Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73159 and are also available at the AFU.

The Postal Service is working with the city of Moore to place temporary modular Post Offices within the affected delivery area by early next week to provide Post Office Box delivery service to customers in Zip Code 73153 and delivery to displaced customers in ZIP Code 73160.

A modular Post Office Retail Unit will also be temporarily located at the Santa Fe Station. Affected customers may call the Oklahoma District USPS Customer Hotline at 1-866-295-7514 to receive the latest delivery service updates for their impacted area.

Any customer that would like to receive delivery service through an alternate Post Office may rent a Post Office Box by personally visiting the office or by visiting our worldwide website at www.usps.com
