Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak and other officials address questions and issues about insurance claims and other resources for victims of this week's tornadoes.

Doak said during a news conference Wednesday morning that 2,700 insurance claims already have been filed following the deadly tornadoes and he expects that number to rise.

An Insurance Command Center has been set up in Moore for victims to use. It's located at the First Baptist Church of Moore, 301 N.E. 27th Street (I-35 and NE 27th).

At the command center, victims can file insurance claims, get questions answered about pending claims, use ATM's or rent a car.

Victims can also get information about health insurance, bank loan, insurance checks and utility updates.

Doak also said his office has issued 500 ID badges to Oklahoma-licensed agents and adjusters and he expects to issue 500 more this week. These ID badges are required to enter the disaster zone in Moore. Identification badges are being distributed at the Insurance Command Center this week to insurance agents and adjusters only.

Local residents and victims of the tornado disaster are not required to obtain this badge in order to gain access to their residences.
