Free Medical, Eye Services For OK Tornado Victims

Medical services and an eye clinic is planned to help victims of the deadly tornadoes.

Mercy has set up in a medical tent in Moore on 134th Street between Santa Fe and Western to provide tetanus shots and to treat minor injuries. Mercy is also providing medications to people who may have lost their medications in the tornado, like insulin, inhalers and blood pressure medications.

A special vision relief clinic will be held Tuesday, May 28th – Friday, May 31st from 9am – 5pm at Graceway Baptist Church, 1100 SW 104th, for victims of the tornado who lost their eyeglasses and contact lenses.

These services will be offered at no charge to people who have badges identifying them as victims. Vision Source is organizing this event and the doctors and staff are volunteering their expertise along with the generous donations from numerous vendors who are providing eye glasses, contact lenses, eye drops and equipment for people who needed to have their eyewear replaced.
