It was a wicked day of weather for towns across central Oklahoma Sunday. And News 9 storm trackers and reporters fanned out across the state to bring an in-depth look at all of the destruction.

One of the hardest hit areas was in Pottawatomie County, where the day's only fatality was recorded after a large tornado hit the Steelman Estates trailer park in Bethel Acres. News 9's Adrianna Iwasinski was at Steelman Estates talking to residents who got their first glimpse of the damage.

News 9's Michael Konopasek was in northwest Shawnee surveying damage and speaking with homeowners who narrowly escaped the tornado as it plowed near the town.

On nearby Interstate 40 and highway 177, powerful winds swept semis and other vehicles clean off the highway, some from the overpass onto the road below. News 9's Karl Torp talked with OHP troopers about road closures and cleanup, as well as one lucky minister who rode out the storm underneath an overpass.

The first tornado of the day touched down in east Edmond. The new Mercy Health Center suffered some damage from that tornado. Over a dozen homes in the Thornebrook subdivision sustained damage as well. News 9's Evan Anderson visited residents in the Edmond area about their experience with Sunday's tornado.

News 9 reporters Heather Hope and Chris McKinnon traveled to the town of Carney, Okla. Sunday, where another large tornado touched down damaging several homes and injuring residents.

One family was trapped in a storm shelter after a large chunk of their adjacent home fell on top of the cellar. Residents and business owners spoke about carrying on after such a devastating storm.
