Police arrest a 52-year-old Oklahoma City woman accused of repeatedly hitting her boyfriend over the head with a bottle of liquor.

Police were called Thursday to an apartment in the 6200 block of S. Douglas. They found a man with a three-inch laceration to his forehead. When officers asked him what happened, the victim said his girlfriend, Tonette Cargile, became angry when she came home and found him smoking inside the apartment.

The victim said that's when Cargile grabbed a liter-sized bottle of Crown Royal liquor and repeatedly struck him over the head.

Police located Cargile at a nearby apartment and questioned her. She claimed she didn't know what happened because she wasn't home at the time, but she believed the victim fell while looking for a liquor bottle and hit his head on the floor.

Police didn't believe her story and arrested her. She was booked into the Oklahoma County jail for domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The victim was treated at a nearby hospital and released.
