Police in Warr Acres captured a burglary suspect after the man hid in a house, then jumped from a window and ran in an attempt to escape police.

The incident began around 2:30 p.m. when police were called to N.W. 72nd Street and MacArthur for a burglary. One suspect was immediately caught, but a second suspect ran and hid. Police told residents to stay in their homes and lock their doors while they searched the area.

While police scoured yards, the suspect apparently hid in a two-story home that had a "for sale" sign in the front yard. He stuck his head out of a window and police spotted him. That's when the suspect jumped out of a window and ran.

The suspect ran through several backyards and through parking lots before police stopped him in the parking lot of a McDonald's fast food restaurant. Officers pointed their guns at the suspect and he laid down on the ground. They took him into custody without further incident.
