A crash involving two semis shut down the westbound lanes of the Muskogee Turnpike near the Wagoner exit late Monday. The OHP re-opened those lanes at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The crash happened at 10:20 p.m. on May 13, 2013.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says one semi was carrying a load of pipe which spilled onto the highway and the other semi was hauling cattle. Troopers say the crash killed some of the cattle while some of the cattle escaped.

Troopers say neither driver was injured.

The OHP says the initial crash involved the pipe truck and two cars. That crash closed the outside westbound lane. Troopers say a short time later a westbound cattle truck ran off the road and rolled onto its side as it approached the first crash scene.

The two crashes closed the westbound lanes of the turnpike for almost 10 hours.

Troopers say eastbound Muskogee Turnpike traffic was not affected by the crash.
