My 2 Cents: IRS Targeting Conservative Groups

For the past 4 years it's been popular sport for some on the left to cast those in the "Tea Party movement" or associated with any group with "Patriot" in it's title as right wing wackos.

The paranoid, "black helicopter" crowd, that sees a government conspiracy around every corner.

But what most of these people are really worried about is the erosion of personal rights and freedom, overspending by politicians, and most of all the abuse of power by the Federal government.

And if they weren't convinced before, they probably are now, because it's been revealed that the IRS has been specifically targeting conservative groups for the past 3 years... running them through the ringer about their tax exempt status.

Documents indicate the IRS also applied extra scrutiny to applicants requesting tax exempt status that criticized how the country is being run.

Folks, that is chilling, and to their credit President Obama and Democratic leaders have expressed outrage.

But the big question that remains is who ordered the targeting of conservative groups, how high up does it go.. and why?
