El Reno Police Looking For Man Connected With Shooting

EL RENO, Oklahoma -

Authorities are on the lookout for an El Reno man who was involved in a shooting that took place Tuesday afternoon.

Police received the call about a shooting in the 600 block of N. Miles in El Reno, around 3:15 p.m.

Officers arrived to the scene and spoke with witnesses, but the shooter and the victim were gone. Witnesses identified the suspect as Donnie Ray Everhart Sr. They say he fired several shots at a person in the area.

A short time after police were called to the scene of the shooting, a 26-year-old Native American man showed up at Mercy Hospital with a single gunshot wound. He was transported from Mercy to OU Medical Center in OKC where he is listed in stable condition.

Police have issued a warrant for Everhart for the crime of assault with a deadly weapon. The El Reno Police department is asking for the public's help in locating him, and for possible information of others involved in this incident.
