Get a taste of Claremore Saturday as the Main Street community welcomes spring. The first weekend in May boasts a Paranormal Authors Seminar, a downtown Claremore Haunt Jaunt and the Sip, Savor and Shop Taste of Claremore event.

Boarding House Books is offering a free experience of the paranormal by hosting some authors and investigators from that spooky industry. Wesley Fox, Harriet Ford, C.C. Brown and Ann Charlotte are heading the event which runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at 300 West Will Rogers Boulevard. Fox will present a slide show of ghosts and hauntings as a member of the Branson Paranormal Chasers.

Go along with investigators on the Haunt Jaunt starting at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Each session is limited to only 15 participants so get there early to explore paranormal Claremore including the upper floors of two historic downtown buildings. The cost for the tour is $10 per ticket. The Haunt Jaunt begins at 419 West Will Rogers Boulevard. Call 918-341-5881 for more information.

The Taste of Claremore is an official Main Street event in historic downtown Claremore. Local restaurants will be set up inside downtown shops from 6 to 9 p.m. Participating restaurants include Hammett House, Elks Lodge, The Nut House, Belvidere Tea Room, The Pink House, Walke Bros. Meat, Perry Dogs Cafe, She-Brews Coffee Shop, Oak Hills Winery, Boom-A-Ran Diner, El Maguey Restaurant and Papa John's pizza.

Tickets are available for $12 from most downtown businesses.

There will also be sidewalk entertainment from local artists including an Elvis impersonator.
