An Oklahoma City woman was arrested on Thursday after authorities say she was driving under the influence of synthetic marijuana, while four young children were in her car.

According to Oklahoma City police, at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, 25-year-old Cassie J. Lawson caused an accident at N.W.36th Street and Penn. Officers determined that Lawson was under the influence of synthetic marijuana “K2.”

Four children, ages three to seven, were in the back seat of the vehicle, police said. They were not buckled in. Two children suffered minor injuries following the crash, and were treated at the scene.

Lawson was taken to the Southwest Medical Center to be checked out for her injuries. She was then taken into custody and transported to the Oklahoma County Jail on several charges, including child endangerment and driving under the influence of drugs.
