MOORE, Oklahoma -

A man was injured Friday morning during a standoff at an apartment complex in Moore.

Police were called around 5:30 a.m. to the Jamestown Square Apartments at N.W. 10th Street and Santa Fe. A woman told officers she woke up when her husband started screaming. She saw him holding a knife and acting erratically. The woman and her children left the apartment and called police.

When police arrived, the man barricaded himself inside a bathroom. When he moved into another room, officers shot him with bean bags, ending the standoff around 6:45 a.m.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Police say they don't plan to arrest him after he's been released from the hospital.

Police tell News 9 the man seriously damaged his apartment during the standoff. He ripped a toilet out of the bathroom and tore the walls apart. The man's name has not been released.
