Aimee Creger allowed just two hits over seven innings to lead the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to an 8-2 win over Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Wednesday night.

The two hits came in the bottom of the fifth inning—a single from Erika Campbell, followed by a home run from Amy Graham—but that was all Creger would allow, striking out 12 OSU batters and walking just two.

Kat Espinosa went the distance for OSU, giving up 11 hits while striking out three and walking three. The OSU defense didn't help Espinosa's cause, committing three errors for the game.

Tulsa broke the scoreless tie in the top of the third, scoring four runs on four hits. The biggest was a two-run triple form Haley Henshaw. Catherine Horner followed with a single to score Henshaw. All four hits and runs came when there were two outs in the inning.

After Oklahoma State scored two in the bottom of the fifth, Tulsa got both runs back in the top of the next frame to make the score 6-2. An inning later, TU added two more runs to take an 8-2 lead. The Golden Hurricane held the Cowgirls' offense in check for the final two innings for the victory.

The Cowgirls will travel to Wichita, Kan., on Thursday to take on Wichita State in a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. The games were scheduled earlier in the year, but were postponed due to weather.

Tulsa travels to El Paso, Texas, this weekend to take on UTEP in a three-game series.
