Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies have arrested a woman accused of gunning down a man in front of his trailer in Choctaw.

When James Vaughn didn't show up for work Monday morning, his boss went to his home in the 15000 block of S.E. 29th Street to check on him. He found Vaughn lying dead near the trailer. He'd been shot multiple times.

Deputies received a tip about the case that led them to 21-year-old Angela Ann Durent. They located her in Midwest City and questioned her.

Deputies say Durent admitted to shooting Vaughn. They recovered the handgun used in the crime. They also found the victim's missing car, which had been stolen from his property.

Deputies booked Durent into the Oklahoma County Detention Center at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on a complaint of first-degree murder.

The investigation is still ongoing, but deputies say Durent is the only suspect in the case.
