As good as Kevin Martin has been off the bench for the Thunder, he couldn't quite pull of what his predecessor did a season ago.

A year after James Harden won the Sixth Man of the Year Award, Kevin Martin flirted with a repeat for Oklahoma City but came up in fourth place in the league voting on Monday.

Martin averaged 14 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in his first campaign in OKC after coming over from the Rockets. He shot 45 percent from the floor and a career-high 42.6 percent from the 3-point line.

New York's J.R. Smith took home this year's award, becoming the first Knick to win since former Oklahoma State star John Starks in the 1996-97 season. Smith averaged 18.1 points per game.

L.A. Clippers' guard Jamal Crawford came in second, while Golden State's Jarrett Jack was third in the voting.
