Police Arrest Suspect In High-Speed Pursuit In NW OKC

Police have arrested a suspect who led officers on a high-speed pursuit in northwest Oklahoma City, and then ditched his vehicle and ran into a field Monday afternoon.

Police have arrested a suspect who led officers on a high-speed pursuit in northwest Oklahoma City, and then ditched his vehicle and ran into a field Monday afternoon.

According to Oklahoma City police, at about 4 p.m., the suspect vehicle, described as a gray Ford extended cab pickup truck, was going southbound on Council at a high rate of speed.

The suspect then ditched the vehicle and ran into a field on the west side of a large pond, near Council and Memorial.

Officers were able to take the suspect into custody following a manhunt.

Police say the vehicle was possibly stolen from the area of 146th and Rockwell earlier in the day.
