Spurs Appear To Be Conceding No. 1 Seed To Thunder

Posted: Updated:

Oklahoma City can wrap up the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a victory against Sacramento Monday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Well, now the Thunder might not even have to win either of its final two games to get the top seed.

It appears San Antonio is virtually conceding the No. 1 seed and home court advantage to Oklahoma City in favor of resting up and nursing lingering injuries.

The Spurs announced on Monday evening that they will sit Tony Parker (neck), Tim Duncan (knee) and Kawhi Leonard (knee) for tonight's game at Golden State. All three played in Sunday's loss against the Lakers.

In addition to sitting those three, the team is still without Manu Ginobli, who hasn't played since March 29 with an injured hamstring.

It is yet to be known whether any of the four will play in Wednesday's season finale against the Timberwolves.

The Thunder will not play Kendrick Perkins or Kevin Martin against the Kings because of lingering injuries, as well. Both will be sitting out for a second-consecutive game.
