Oklahoma State wrestling will send five of its senior-level members, past and present, to Las Vegas this week to compete in the 2013 ASICS U.S. Open from Thursday through Saturday at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There will also be six junior-level Cowboys heading to Vegas for the ASICS FILA Junior National Championships, which will be held Friday and Saturday.

Wrestling at the U.S. Open is current Cowboy, Josh Kindig (66 kilograms), who took a redshirt for the 2012-13 season. Former Oklahoma State wrestlers competing alongside him are two-time national champion Jordan Oliver (66 kg), 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist Coleman Scott (60 kg), World Team member Obe Blanc (55kg) and Cayle Byers (96 kg).

In both the U.S. Open and the Junior National Championships, the top seven in each weight class will qualify to compete at the World Team Trials held in Stillwater in June.
