Man Ordered To Stand Trial In Deadly Tulsa Apartment Shooting

Mark Hopkins, a Spartan College of Aeronautics student is accused of opening fire February 21, 2013, killing fellow student Chaz Fain, 18, and wounding three others.

A Tulsa judge has ordered Mark Hopkins, 41, to stand trial on a charge of first degree murder.  The ruling came at the conclusion of a Monday preliminary hearing. 

Hopkins, a Spartan College of Aeronautics student, is accused of opening fire on February 21, 2013, killing fellow student Chaz Fain, 18, and wounding three others.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of North 89th East Avenue.

Hopkins also faces three charges of shooting with intent to kill and two charges of feloniously pointing a weapon.

His next court appearance is May 22, 2013.
