An 18-year-old Bartlesville High School student has been charged with possession of a weapon on school property after police found a machete in his pickup truck last week.

According to an affidavit, on April 4, Jonathon Hubler told his mother in a phone call from school he planned to "take his machete and go to the police department and kill police officers."

Police took Hubler into protective custody.

Investigators then searched Hubler's truck and said they found the machete hidden behind the back seat.

During a Tuesday court appearance, a judge ordered Hubler held on a $30,000 bond.

He remains in the Washington County jail.

His next court appearance was set for May 3, 2013.
