Ninth-ranked Oklahoma City took a pair of Sooner Athletic Conference softball games from Oklahoma Baptist at OCU Friday, 6-0 and 4-3.

The Stars held OBU to five hits in the opener, including two by Amanda Harmon. Harmon also started a triple play for the Lady Bison in the second inning. With bases loaded, Harmon made a shoestring catch in center field. She threw to shortstop LeNae Sanchez to double off a runner at second. Sanchez then relayed to Krystal Johnson at third to triple off the runner there.

Hannah Wilbur (8-3) was charged with the loss.

The Lady Bison, ranked ninth in the NAIA in fielding percentage, had two unearned runs score in the second game on outfield errors.

OBU took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on back-to-back sacrifice fly balls by Noelle McDowell and Kenna Self, but the Stars scored three times in their first turn, including a two-run home run by Drew Wright.

The Lady Bison tied the score in the third on a home run by Kasey Maddox, but left runners in scoring position in the fourth and seventh innings.

The Stars took the lead back in the bottom of the fourth on a dropped fly ball with two outs.

McDowell (8-7) took the pitching loss despite holding OCU to two earned runs.

OBU had seven hits in the game, including two by Maddox. Maddox had a double in addition to her home run.
