Teen Killed By Train In Craig County

A teenager from Welch, Okla. was struck and killed by a train in Craig County, Sunday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 5 p.m. near 1^st St. and highway 59, within the city limits of Welch.

According to police, 16-year-old Logan Hankins was jogging southbound on the tracks when he was hit by a training that was also traveling southbound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear if Hankins had on a portable music device or if he was even aware that the train was coming.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation
