Deputies Find Explosives In Injured Crowder Man's Home

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad searched a Pittsburg County home Wednesday evening after sheriff's deputies discovered explosives inside.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad searched a Pittsburg County home Wednesday evening after deputies discovered explosives inside.

The Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office says deputies were sent to a home in Crowder just before 7 p.m. after getting a call about man with a head wound.

Deputies found what appeared to be military grade blasting caps or detonators inside the home.

The 36-year-old man was taken to a Tulsa hospital. There is no word on his condition. The sheriff's office did not release his name.

Crowder is located northeast of McAlester on Highway 69.
