A small earthquake rumbled near the town of McAlester in eastern Oklahoma, Wednesday evening.
The quake weighed in with a magnitude of 2.9 and was recorded at a depth of about two and a half miles.
The epicenter of the quake was located 11 miles west, northwest of McAlester, 44 miles south of the town of Okmulgee and 93 miles east southeast of the Oklahoma City metro area.
No damage or injuries have been reported with this earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), quakes with magnitudes from 2.5 to 3 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans.
