OKC Police Arrest Man Accused Of Assaulting Woman, Taking Baby

Police arrest a man for allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend in traffic.

The woman told police she had been fighting with 23-year-old Joseph Ronald Sharp II when he shifted the car into park in the intersection at N.W. 36th Street and May Avenue.

She says she moved out of traffic and tried to run away. She told police that's when Sharp punched her and slammed her into the ground.

Several witnesses heard the woman screaming and ran to help her. The couple's child was in the car. Sharp took off with the baby, but came back.

He was booked on several charges.
