Rogers County DA Sues Claremore Newspaper For Libel

The Rogers County District Attorney and two assistants on her prosecuting staff are suing the Claremore Daily Progress for libel.

A Tulsa law firm representing DA Janice Steidley and attorneys David Iski and Sean McConnell filed the civil lawsuit seeking relief of more than $10,000 on Thursday, March 28, 2013.

According to the Daily Progress, the lawsuit lists two news stories and two editorial columns. Publisher Bailey Dabney, editor Randy Cowling and reporter Salesha Wilken are named in the lawsuit as well as the newspaper.
