An attempt to pull over a driver for a traffic violation led to a wild police chase across Oklahoma City.

Around 1 a.m. Friday, Oklahoma County deputies attempted to stop a driver on Interstate 40 near MacArthur. The driver refused to stop and sped away down the highway.

Oklahoma City Police joined the chase. It finally ended at the intersection of Rockwell and Hefner when a deputy performed a tactical maneuver and forced the vehicle to stop.

Deputies say the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Justin Dale Ross, was intoxicated. When the chase ended, he was very belligerent and cursed officers and paramedics.

Once Ross was cleared by paramedics, deputies handcuffed him and hauled him to jail. He was booked for driving under the influence and eluding police.
